    Active Youth

    The discussion panel “Active Youth” will feature representatives from the following high schools:

    • PLOPŁ in Łódź
    • III High School of Tadeusz Kościuszko in Łódź
    • XXI High School of Bolesław Prus in Łódź
    • XXIX High School of Jan Bytnar “Rudy” in Łódź

    They will discuss their future in relation to the City of Łódź.

    This panel will focus on youth activation and social engagement, providing an opportunity for in-depth reflection on the challenges and opportunities facing the younger generation in today’s world.

    Amid dynamic social and technological changes, young people are becoming increasingly aware of contemporary global issues. However, they often lack the tools and support needed to actively participate in social life.

    During the panel, we will address key issues related to building social engagement among youth, such as civic education, grassroots initiatives, the use of new technologies in activism, and collaboration with non-governmental organizations and public institutions. The panelists will share their experiences and best practices from various sectors, highlighting effective methods for involving young people in social activities.

    PLOPŁ

    I am a student at PLOPŁ, the organizer of the youth conference Jak być (u)ważnym dla siebie nawzajem, czyli sztuka kreowania relacji. I thrive in my role as the activities coordinator at the 13.Klasa Foundation, host the PLOPŁ Podcast, and contribute to the school newspaper PoliLicealnik as Editor-in-Chief. I have countless ideas and a great enthusiasm for work, love being surrounded by activity, and I am always attentive to the needs of others.

    My name is Andrzej. I am the school president of III High School of Tadeusz Kościuszko and the coordinator of the Council of Łódź Students with the Mayor of Łódź. For over three years, I have been actively involved in social work, focusing on youth activation and development in the education sector. At the conference, I will talk about what it’s worth getting involved in and how to start activities as a high school student.

    Hello, my name is Franciszek Kowalski, and I am a senior high school student! At the conference, I will be speaking as the chair of the Youth Dialogue Association, which is the largest cultural project for youth by youth in Łódź. I will have the pleasure of discussing with the audience about the promotion of culture and many events that I have the opportunity to organize with my team! The activities I will talk about also reflect my interests in the field of culture and beyond.
